Windows 10: Windows 11 restart

Every time I restart my pc, the screen goes black while my pc is still running. My lights in my pc continue to work, but my keyboard and mice lights stop, but the keyboard still functions. Once the screen is black, I am able to turn off my pc with one touch of the on button, not the 10 seconds to turn it off when its on and functional. Once I turn it on it does the same black screen until I unplug it from the power point and leave it for 20 minutes, then most of the time works. this is obviously an issue and is preventing me from updating my windows. please help me out

Hard drive/ OS issue

• restarted

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
