Windows 11 screen time expires 2-3x too fast

Every time the family safety app lets me add screentime to my sons Windows 11 laptop, it expires too soon. For example, at 10 PM the app on my phone pops up a notification asking if I want to add more time for his laptop. If I add two hours at 10pm, less than one hour later the time expires and I am getting another notification to add more time. This happens every day, has been going on for weeks. Any clever thoughts?

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows 11 screen time expires 2-3x too fast :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  3. Fast Start-up doesn't work after updating to ver 2004

    Hi,

I'm sorry that the solution provided previously didn't work so as to the next step in making the fast startup option work I would suggest you make sure Hibernate option is enabled, please follow the below to enable Hibernate along with Fast Startup Option

To make hibernation available, follow these steps:

    Step 1:

Press the Windows button on the keyboard to open the Start menu or Start screen.

    Step 2:

Search for cmd. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.

    Step 3:

When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.

    Step 4:

At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.

    Step 5:

    Restart the PC

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
