  1. Windows 11 supported CPU confusion

My HP system, running on an Intel Core i3-6100T @3.20Ghz appears on the supported list for Windows 11 compatibility but the PC HealthCheck App says that the processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11. What gives? Its on the supported list! I was told by Tech support that the earlier-released version of HealthCheck was flawed so have they fixed it yet because as of November 19th my chip still isn't accepted for Windows 11. Frustrating -as usual.

    :)

    Windows 11 confusion

It's not actually saying that your processor isn't 64 bit, it's saying it isn't on the list of supported processors. For Intel that currently means only 8th gen or newer, and it's simillarly restricted for AMD. The list may include some more of the older processors by the time Win11 is released. The current list of supported AMD processors is here:

  3. B3 Phenom support

I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
