Discus and support Windows 11, trying to find out what slots my DIMM are in without opening the case. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I want to used either PowerShell or WMIC to find this out.Reason is CPU-Z is giving me 'bad' results.     Windows 11, trying to find out what slots my DIMM are in without opening the case.


    I want to used either PowerShell or WMIC to find this out.Reason is CPU-Z is giving me 'bad' results. Trying to figure out why.I've got 2 16GB DIMM's, in the proper slots for Channel 1, on a Dell XPS8040, it is the White clips that are, counting from the CPU, slots 2 and 4.CPU-Z reports this as SLOT 1 and 2? A friend on W10 and an older Delll XPS8930 with the same DIMM configuration CPU-Z reports it as SLOT 2 and 4?I've tried both PS and WMIC to get the position the DIMM"s are in, and it appears it should be the BankLabel, but there is no data for it?I've seen on some websites BankLabel has th

    DIMM slot 1, 3 or DIMM slot 2, 4?


    Page 1-23 in the manual;

    1. (2) Supports two (2) modules inserted into either the red slots or the black slots as onepair of Dual-channel memory con guration. We suggest that you install the modulesinto slots A2 and B2 for better compatibility.
