    Windows update KILLED my computer

    Hello,

Latests windows update killed my HP laptop. I have tried several suggested solutions from HP support, including BIOS reset, however I cannot get past the HP logo screen. ONCE it allowed me to get to BIOS screen, however BIOS reset never completed. Currently
after several power off/on hard boots, nothing has changed. VERY SLOWLY, now get to personal login screen, but never past that.....

WINDOWS needs to step up and PAY for repair!

I've read several questions/comments about this same issue, Windows killing computers.

Frankly I cannot afford to keep losing information (though this time I had been diligent with saving copies on HD).

I definitely cannot afford to keep buying a new computer!! My HP is 3 yrs old, I'm currently trying to solve the issue from my previous 7+ year Dell laptop.

    Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And PS..... NO ONE WANTS MS EDGE.... worst browser EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Windows 11 update killed printers

About October, a new update to Windows 11 killed access to email and printers (2).

I have spent quite a bit of time to fix, got the email renewed with 4 restarts, but not the printers.

The printers work with a Windows 10 laptop on the same wired network.

Many calls and assist with agents has not renewed connection to Windows 11.

One time, previous update I was suggested I use a change of port and well that worked until the new update erased.

I cannot get LaserJet Pro 400 color M451dn to use Wndows 11, it works on Windows 10 laptop on same network. I typically switch to the 10 and read the email to print. Printer Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 dw works with the Windows 11

How can I get Windows 11 to use the MFP M277 printer?

Windows 11 update killed my computer

Windows 10 Update killed my computer

    We appreciate the information.

    As previously suggested,
start the PC in safe mode
to check what could be causing the problem. To get to safe mode, you need to access the recovery options in Windows 10.

If your PC takes you to the sign-in screen before it becomes unresponsive, you can restart it by clicking the power icon while pressing the Shift key on the keyboard. If that method doesn't work, you can hard reset your computer. A hard reset is performed
by unplugging the power cord as you boot your PC up. This may need to be executed a few times before the computer takes you to the recovery environment where recovery options are available. Once you are taken to the recovery options, follow these steps:

    • Choose Troubleshoot.
    • Select Advanced options.
    • Go to Start-up Settings.
    • Press F4 to select the Enable Safe Mode option.
    • Sign in to your account.

From there, you can check the updates that were installed in Windows Update.

Let us know if you're successful in performing the suggestions above.
