    Hello all,Long story short... windows refuses to upgrade to 11, and every time I get the 0x80004005 error.This has been going on for months, and I'd accepted that 10 is fine... but now it constantly giving me messages to schedule the update.. and it's a little annoying.SO! It's a brand new computer with all my software carried over from my old one. It more that meets all the requirements.The product key is good and not the one-time install kind... Lord microsoft is okay with it all on my digital account.I've run all sorts of "fixes" to correct any corrupt windows files and issues with windows

    I have looked over many other posts about this, all with the same error code, but with a different problem.

    I have a computer thats a few years old, it has an ABIT kn8-sli motherboard, and its running off windows XP.

    I was having problem with the hard drive before I gave up on it awhile back, and now I have come back and resolved that problem, but now when I get to the login screen and type in the password it says its in need of an update, then when it asks me if I want to update I click Yes, and then it says it won't work due to error 0x80004005.

    The only operating system I have currently is windows 7. Do I need to go buy a new OS or is this recoverable?
