Windows 10: Windows 11 Weather Widget Will Not Update Automatically On New Laptop

After trying all suggestions on Google and YouTube, I reached out to 4 Microsoft Technical Support technicians and nobody has been able to fix my weather widget. All the suggestions from the MS technicians did not fix the weather widget. If I restart my laptop, the weather widget will temporarily update the current weather, otherwise it stays fixed on the same temperature all day and night. Some of the other things I have tried recently have been uninstalling the weather widget and reinstalling it, removing the Microsoft Windows Web Experience 2 Pack and reinstalling it from an update fro

Windows 11 Update KB5010414 not dispaying weather widget on left

Hi All,

I updated two laptops yesterday with the latest Windows 11 KB5010414 update that is supposed to move the weather widget to the left side of the taskbar and display the weather among other new features The first laptop I updated worked no problem as soon as I rebooted. Nothing changed with the widget on the second laptop after I applied the latest update. I've rebooted several times and tried searching to see if anyone else had this issue but I couldn't find anything yet.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Does News and Interests widget require MS News and Weather apps?

I have a laptop that doesn't have the Microsoft News or Weather app preinstalled. After installing some Windows updates, I saw that I had the "News and interests" option in the task bar. I have it turned on but the widget hasn't shown up. Turning it off then on again didn't help. Does that widget require the MS News and Weather apps in order to function? On another PC, I have no issues with that widget appearing but that one has had the News and Weather apps installed before the widget was released.

 

News and Weather widget won't open

Since yesterday the News and Weather widget has failed to open when I click on it. It does update the temperature and weather conditions, but it won't open to view the forecast and news. As far as I know I haven't changed any settings. Any suggestions? Thank you.
