    Windows 1511 10586.545 Anniversary Udate fails 0xC1900101 0x20017


    This x64 system was upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate in August 2015. All the patches and updates have been applied successfully. I have eliminated all but one error. I have been working on this for days. I would appreciate any help resolving this error:

    Can't install windows 10 anniversary issue. Keep getting a 0xC1900101-0x20017 error

    Trying to install windows 10 anniversary issue over Build 1511. I have used the media creation tool directly and also an .iso DVD. I keep getting a 0xC1900101-0x20017 error and the system reverts. I have disconnected all my USB devices. Any ideas regarding
    a solution?

    Windows 10 Anniversary update error- code 0xc1900101-0X20017.

    3 hours and 4 attempts later, and it continues to fail. The upgrade assistant indicates a successful install, need to restart. The restart boots to ver 1511 with no error message. The media creation tool returns the same error:0xC1900101-0x20017.
