  1. Windows 1803 KB4530717, KB4525237 and Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830) Fail to Update

Situation: Windows updates and will restart. Login screen will occasionally be available. I sign in and it goes to the black screen with cursor. Occasionally, I will get Windows Explorer is not responding. I cannot open the task manager ever. I end up reverting back to the previous feature update. All other updates have been successful.

    Attempts:

    - Cleared space on computer. I'm up to 29GB free space on my solid state now.

    - Removed Dell Bloatware

    - Removed McAfee

    - Updated Dell Firmware

    - Updated Intel Drivers

    - Updated Nvidia Drivers

    - Did in-place update

    - If I attempt to use safe mode after install, it immediately freezes

    :)

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool missing?

Until 19-02 Windows 10 ver 1803 updates, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool used to download as KB890830. It failed today, and when I go to Microsoft Update Catalogue, it just appears to download an application, rather than the usual 'KB' format
to update after restart. I thought the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool was an automatic facility, rather than one I had to run purposely. Has Microsoft policy on this changed?

    Thanks

    Mike
