Windows 10: Windows 1809 had no problem

Hi I have a home built machine and had windows 10 from the off. I loaded and ran and updated to 1809 and it has gone in and no apparent problem except the audio for skype changed and I discovered that the speakers no longer ran in the socket for the rear but for the front. Everything else is it seems working normally with nothing missing. I have in the past with store machines had problems with updates but frankly since making my own machines have had no troubles of any magnitude. For example, my daughter had a new store laptop and the updates got fouled up. I discovered she had to get updates from the machine vendor. We ended up having to blitz the machine and load a normal version using a key from an obsolete machine. Since then no problem. So, I am wondering, is this problem also allied to the suppliers versions, which incidentally came full of other crap.

Windows 1809 Started the install on Surface Pro 4 but it stopped and the update screen closed by itself.

It started the download of 1809 and I walked away. Came back twenty minutes later and the update page was no longer open. Tried update again and it said it's updated.

It didn't complete the update or state the RESTART NOW.

Update history lists 1809 and states RESTART REQUIRED but since it didn't complete the install restarting does nothing.

So it thinks it's installed the 1809 update but it hasn't. It won't download 1809 again.

ABOUT say's it is 1803.

Suggestions?

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
