Windows 10: Windows 1903 update Shutdown problem

I updated to 1903, but have had to revert back to 1809 due to a shutdown issue.

With 1903 installed, my desktop will not shut down, after selecting shutdown from the menu, my screen goes off but my PC remains on and I am forced to hold down the power button to get it to shutdown. so the only way of actually shutting the PC down is via the power button.

Shutdown problem on my Windows 10 laptop.

Hello,

We suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issues with the shutdown function of your laptop:

Type Troubleshooting in the search bar beside the Windows icon.

Select Troubleshooting from the results.

Under System and Security, select Fix Problems with Windows Update.

Choose Troubleshoot as an Administrator.

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

Not listed in the Known.

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903

As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.

I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

Slow Shutdown after Upgrade to Windows 10 1903

Hi ,

I'm Stefano an Independent Advisor, here to help you.

I suggest you to perform a disk clean-up:

1. Open "File Explorer"

2. Click on "This PC"

3. Right click on "C:"

4. Click on "Proprieties"

5. Click on "Clean-up disk"

6. Click on "Clean up system files"

7. Select every option in the list, but not "Download"

8. Click on "OK"

Then use Windows Update Assistant:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=799445 to install Windows 10 1903. Once the feature update has finished, perform once again disk clean up:

1. Open "File Explorer"

2. Click on "This PC"

3. Right click on "C:"

4. Click on "Proprieties"

5. Click on "Clean-up disk"

6. Click on "Clean up system files"

7. Select every option in the list, but not "Download"

8. Click on "OK"

Then check if the problem is solved. If not, I suggest to perform a clean boot:
