Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro Gets Priced

I think people that were interested in the PC tablet market before Windows 8 release previews (say when Windows 7 tablet hardware was new) and researched it were well aware of the price range of the hardware. The Microsoft Surface pro and other Windows 8 PC (x86 / x64) tablets can be considered an Ivy Bridge upgrade from previous Sandy Bridge tablets. The prices in some cases are even lower by comparison.

I think the people suggesting the price should be lower aren’t using such a frame of reference and just wont it to be cheaper.

 

windows 7 tablet edition?

There is no "tablet" edition of windows 7 (all versions of windows 7 except possibly basic have the same functionality when it comes to tablets)- if it detects you have a tablet pc it changes a few settings (icon sizes) and installs a couple of extra applications which can be used with wacom/touchscreen style setups.

You can install windows 7 from USB with no problems, but I am not familiar enough with the steps required to do it.

 

Best windows 8 tablet?

I've apple ipod touch 4g, google nexus 4, hp envy 17 3d, so using all 3 OS - iOS, android, windows 7.

I dont have any tablet yet..thinking to buy windows 8 tablet..

i like hp envy x2 much..tablet cum notebook..

but microsoft surface and many other good tablets in market and i dont have idea..

suggest me best windows 8/?RT tablets..
