    Windows 2012 R2 Installed Updates But Unexpectedly Restarted


    Yesterday Friday the 13th, we encountered several servers that were unexpectedly restarted after Windows Update installation even the auto-restart has been disabled on GPO/Policy settings.The common of these affected servers were in Windows Server 2012 R2 version. And as checked on the event viewer, we found an event ID 22 before the restart, where it indicates the KBs there & will be restarted in 15mins.Upon research, event ID 22 is something to do w/ publishing settings using trace configuration utilities.     Perform Upgrade of Windows Cluster & SQL Cluster from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2

    I am looking to perform Upgrade of Windows cluster on which SQL cluster is running 2008 R2 and i have to upgrade the OS to 2012 R2.

    Please can some one suggest or share some step by step guide which i can refer.

    Convert Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation to Windows Server 2012 R2

    I have purchased the product key of Windows Server 2012 R2. Now the server is on Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation. I found a few links there they explained on how to convert from Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation to Windows Server 2012 R2 with valid product
    key. One of the example is this link:

    Is this a correct way to do? If I follow this step, will my data be erased?

    I want to avoid formatting/fresh Windows install because there are some software in the server that we do not know how to backup. We just want to get it activated now, backup will be sorted out later.

    Dear Microsoft Team,

    I would like to ask some error for my windows server 2012 r2 error. Details error is showing (your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart we're just collecting some error info windows server 2012) when i install Active Directory, DHCP And DNS Feature.
    Let me know why this error and how to solve this issue. Thanks for your helping.
