Windows 10: Windows 20H2 Feature Update

Hello Everyone,


Can someone help me find out why the 20h2 update wont go through every time I have downloaded and installed it. As soon I select restart I can see it's configuring update however when the pc finally boots up after may be a minute or two I receive notification that the update failed to install. I have checked my local drive storage which is above 400 GB, also checked all my drivers which are up to date. Just can't seem to update this version. Can someone help?

Update History is not showing v.20H2

This is normal behavior in Windows 10, typically when you install a Feature Update like 20h2, the update history is wiped, this is to prevent the user from trying to uninstall an update that was prior to the Feature Update, which would de-stabilize Windows
10, the list should start building again, when some updates are applied to version 20h2 . . .

20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

You may uninstall 20H2 using the steps below:

20H2 update via update assistant not working for me

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

This is likely because you are using Windows 10 Pro for workstations. As you have the 2004 release, I suggest using the enablement package to download 20H2 which is smaller in size - see method 4 here:
