Windows 10: Windows 7 to 10 product keys

Hi, I previously had a Windows 7 Home Premium which came pre installed on my laptop.


Over the years, since, I've taken advantage of the free win 10 upgrade when it was available, and I upgraded my laptop.


Everything has been great until recently, when due to some software problems I've had to reinstall.


So, I downloaded the windows 10 download tool, made an ISO for my laptop, got the product key from my laptop using the magic jelly been key finder, but now that I've re-installed my laptop with the windows 10 disk I created, it tells me my key is no longer valid.


I was ensured that when I originally did the upgrade, that the key would always be ok for re-installing W10 should I need too, I've checked the key using ultimate PID checker, and it confirms that the key is an OEM Windows 7 Home Premium key, and that it is valid.


Can some one please tell me what I'm doing wrong. This key has activated Windows 7 AND Windows 10, and now all of a sudden won't, and with no indication as to why.


None of the hardware has changed in the laptop, it's still exactly the same machine it's always been.

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

 

Windows 10 to Windows 7 Product Key

Hello.

I have now installed Windows 7 pro OEM and I am considering to upgrade to Windows 10. I have a several questions about Windows 10.

• When I upgrade to Windows 10, if I don't like it can I downgrade back to Windows 7? How do I do that?
• After upgrade to Windows 10 what will happen to my official Windows 7 pro OEM product key?
• If I uninstall the whole OS after upgrading to Windows 10 and try to install Windows 7 pro like it was, will the product key fit?

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
