Windows 10: Windows 7 & windows 10 dual boot

Okay, I'm going to be asking a couple of questions. I'm pretty new to this, and please don't be afraid to offend me by dumbing things down when explaining or giving directions. I'm running a desktop, Lenovo think station s20, I have 2 hard drives. 1st is a 500gb with "Ubuntu 18.04" and "grub" is installed for the boot loader. 2nd is 1TB with "windows 7"; C: drive, "windows 10"; D: drive, "Local disk" J: drive. When I start my computer grub starts up giving me the option to choose ubuntu or windows 10. If I choose Windows 10 option on grub I'm taken to "windows boot loader" and able to choose windows 7, or windows 10. That's cool, I'm happy or satisfied with that process. I was using windows 10 and Installing iCloud and iTunes for windows. It told me that windows had to shut down for final update so I did just that and this is when things got twisted and messed up. When my system turned back on I went through the same process mention previously. When I came to the log in screen I had no mouse or keyboard capabilities. NONE!! In BIOS I am able to use my keyboard as normal. In "Windows 7" and "ubuntu" my keyboard works just fine. I've tried everything to my knowledge, safe mode and system restore; unfortunately, I never created a system restore and was unable to use it.


What do I have to do to get back into windows 10 without erasing my files and applications? Also, I plan on putting windows 10 on its own separate HD, but how do I stop Windows 10 from installing itself on each drive and erasing my other OS and still being able to have Grub as the boot loader?


My 2nd hard drive with windows 7 and windows 10 installed are telling me each partition is completely full. That makes no sense. What did I do wrong or what may have happened for each partition with 450GB each to show full? How can I educate myself on what I can do to not have things like this happen again?

Just remember if u want UEFI on Windows 10 u most have UEFI on your Windows 7 too if not u need to go change it in the bios everytime u want to go back to Windows 7.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.
