When will Lumia 920 arrive India ?

Not having any details on availability and pricing of the
NOKIA Lumia 920, may be in quarter 4 they can release this model

I want to know from Microsoft about the release date of Microsoft Lumia 850 and it's whole features and price information .

 

The more I look at the new Start Menu, the more I see the benefit of it over the fullscreen Start Screen. Calendar appointments, weather and email notifications while I'm using the desktop at the same time? Yes, please.

 

You must have a big screen? Your going to give up a big chunk of it to the open Start Menu. Assuming it will actually stay open when you mouse away from it and change focus to the desktop. It will be interesting to see how this will work.

 

Once again, I don't understand the criticism. I use the Start screen as my principal method of accessing my programs. I do have a decent size Touch screen. I prefer, in spite of that, to use the mouse. One click to the start menu, one click to my favoured programs. All the minor programs are still one more click away - just as in the sub folders in the classic START MENU. What do you mean by the comment "big chunk" Its just a start menu - in and out

 

Interesting article, if they are right and the upgrade is $20 then count me in, for that price I would definitely upgrade

For me the more I see the new start menu the more I dislike it, make it optional and not based on type of device used, the only thing this new menu would make me do is un install all store apps, do not want/need them on the desktop, if I am on the desktop I will use a desktop program

 

Well I'm hoping for a good deal, got one when 7 came out, this Asus came with 8 installed. It will be interesting to see how an upgrade would work because when it did the 8.1 update it split the C: and D: drive putting another recovery partition.

 

I agree. I bought the $40 W8 upgrade and this would be just half of that cost.

 

Not if you want to leave it open so you can see the live tiles. Which is what I thought Gornot was thinking of doing. If you have multiple monitors its doable but with a single screen its going to hog some of your screen space. That's all. I'm like you. The stuff I use every day is pinned to my taskbar for quick 1 click access. Other frequently used programs and Apps are pinned to my Start Screen. The rest is in All Apps. The only live tile I use is The Weather Network, which is usually open and running on my other screen anyway. I'm happy with the current Start Screen.
