Windows 10: Windows activation error code c004c003, suddenly

Hi

I'm running normally in Win 10 for the last couple of years and purchased a Win 10 pro license in Microsoft Store (there's a valid purchase history) from 2016, but yesterday, win 10 tell me that the windows im running is not activated. And since the pro license is purchased in Microsoft Store, the product key is not emailed to me or something, rather it's entered automatically into the system, there shouldn't be and hadn't been any problem.


But since this occurred, I would like to get help on how to either get my purchased key back, or directly reactivate windows.


Please don't spam this thread with solution that can be found in Google, tried, not working, and the customer service line is always busy and robots are not helping at all.

Error activating Windows 10 Error c004c003

I did not upgrade from an Insider version.

I did not do a clean install of Windows 10.

Last December I bought an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 from Microsoft, this is not a pirate version, it is from Microsoft. That upgrade was Activated and worked fine.

When I installed the Windows 10 upgrade my Activation failed with error code c004c003.

I have received 2 suggestions from Microsoft

1. Go to an Admin Command Prompt and type slmgr.vbs /ato to force the activation

- I have tried this over a hundred times

- It does not work - it fails with c004c003 every time

2. Wait 24-48 hours because the servers are busy

- I have tried this, it does not work

- I have installed the Windows 10 upgrade on two other machines and they were activated immediately so the servers don't seem to be all that busy

What next?

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
