  1. Windows Activation issues after a restore

So, I had an issue with my keyboard inputs and everything and so I restarted my computer and it booted into the restore mode. I restored but it then asked for me activate windows which was odd since I upgraded for free from Windows 7 a while ago.

So I was unsure how to find my key, I since realized free upgrades don't have a normal key? but I did find a key using a script that looks into the registry. I then entered in the activation window but it gave me the error and asking for me to connect to the internet, I am. I then tried troubleshooting and it gave me the error: 0x80080005 which seems to be an update error? On my account devices on Microsoft page under windows it even has my PC and motherboard correct and even shows how much space I have on my C drive.

Not sure what to do and would greatly appreciate some help in dealing with this matter.

    :)

  2. ACTIVATION ISSUE

    Hi,

Activation issues with Windows 10 devices are usually caused due to some hardware changes. For us to provide an effective resolution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

    • What changes have you made to your devices before this issue occurred?
    • Are your computers connected to a domain?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest visiting these links. These can be used as a reference on how to activate Windows 10:

We are looking forward to your response.

  3. Windows XP PRO error after restore

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
