Windows 10: Windows at end of service and error upgrading?

bought a second hand laptop that's been refurbished that has windows 10 pro version 1803 build 17134.1246 installed.


I checked it for updates and there were a fair few, all of which went fine except for the 2020-02 Cumulative update for .NET Framework 4.8. Which had the error 0x80073712.


Then I noticed it said the version of windows is at the end of it's service. I tried to update it to version 1903 but it failed with the error 0x80070032.


I have run the troubleshooter and it has not resolved the issue for either of these. Any help is appreciated!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

[SOLVED] Error 193: 0xc1 .NET Windows Service

Symptom:
When you install a .NET Windows Service, it says there was no error. Yet, when you go to start the service, you get an "Error 193: 0xc1" message and subsequently, the process refuses to start.

Cause:
The binary you installed as a service is not a "Windows Application."

Solution:
Uninstall the old service, change the project output type to "Windows Application" and build it, install the new binary (should be *.exe), and start the service again.


This is just one example of what can cause the error message.
