Windows 10: Windows Audio Not Working

On my Asus Windows 10 Laptop, I have a huge sound problem. Beside the sound icon on the taskbar, there is a small x in a red circle and it says "The Audio Service is not running" when I hover over it. I have tried refreshing Windows explorer, but it still persists. I cannot hear anything, even when I connect a bluetooth speaker or headphones. I have ran the troubleshooter and it said "one or more audio service isn't running." I need desperate help, so if it isn't too much trouble, could someone provide a solution?

Can not record audio.

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
