Windows 10: Windows Audio Service is stopped when connecting ANY webcam A FIX

Hi All,I am actually posting this because I found a solution for this problem if anyone else is having the same problem. This was solved a year ago in a Reddit post, and it took me days to find it. I actually contacted Microsoft, Asus laptop manufacturer, and Logitech for the webcam, and none of them were even aware this is a problem. Also, this has been a problem for at least a year, probably longer and no one has bothered to fix it. The problem is that when you connect any web cam, I have used Logitech and a Razer webcam and this happens with both. I have seen posts elsewhere online

Audio disabled in Windows 11 when plugging webcam

Currently experiencing the same issue. Seems to be an issue with Win 11 and webcams with built-in microphones. Windows Audio service stops when webcam is connected. Tried uninstalling/re-installing drivers for hardware on laptop, webcam, updated BIOS, firmware, updated Windows, etc..

Also tried other suggestions such as disabling audio enhancement.

Did you ever find a solution for this?

 

After running Audio troubleshooter error: 'one or more audio service isn't running'

As you receive the error message: 'one or more audio service isn't running', this might have occurred due to the audio services.

I suggest you to restart the service, set it to automatic and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Windows Audio service.

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Stop.
• Restart the computer.

Step 2: Start the service and set it to automatic:

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Properties.
• Start the service, set
  Startup type to Automatic.

Windows audio service stuck on stopping in Services

I recently installed audio software (Rode Connect) which proceeded to generate a "The audio service is not running" error as soon as it was installed. The sound settings were inaccessible but uninstalling fixed the problem.

After reinstalling the software to look for a solution, I tried stopping the Windows Audio service in the services menu. This generated an error and Windows Audio has now been stuck at "stopping" since the day before. The "The audio service is not running" error is still present. I uninstalled the software but the Windows audio service is still frozen at stopping.

Does anyone have a solution on how to fix this?
