Windows 10: Windows Backup - error 0x80070013

I have seen several questions about error 0x80070013 but unfortunately no answers.

I have Windows 10 Pro Version 1809, installed 3/10/2018, OS Build 17763.134.

When I try to set up a weekly backup, I am firstly prompted to perform a first backup. Unfortunately, when the progress gets to 97%, nothing much happens, task manager shows 0% CPU usage for the backup program and there is write activity to the destination external drive. When I stop the backup, the result is error 0x80070013 and a message that the drive is write protected. This is very interesting because I backup files from the internal HD to the external HD all the time and there is no problem in writing to it. I have checked permissions and security settings and they allow just about everyone full access to the drive. The same happens when I try to backup to a second external drive.


All help would be appreciated.

Error (0x80070013).

Everytime when updating Windows 10, updating failed error (0x80070013). How can I fix this? Thank you in advance.

I think that this started to happen after I made the last upgrade for Windows 10.

After Windows 10 version 1809 update Build 17763.1, my Backup and Recovery now shows error 0x80070013 and will not backup as before

Did October update to win 10 ver 1809 and now my backup and restore will not backup, keep getting Error 0x80070013.
