Windows 10: Windows backup fails with error code 0x8078015b.

I have two Lenovo laptops that used to backup fine but now do not. I am using the Windows 7 backup tool to create a system image once a week. It now fails and I get error code 0x8078015b. I have deleted all files at the destination location and this did not help.

My OS: Windows 10 Pro

Source File Size: less than 500Gb

Application Used: Backup and Restore (Windows 7)

Destination Location: on-site, same LAN, directly connected via Cat6 ethernet

Destination OS: Server 2012 R2

Destination File Size: RAID5 approx. 3.8Tb

What: My PC is unable to backup to my Server (Server 2012 R2) located in the same LAN using 'Backup and Restore (Windows 7)'. Error code: 0x8078015B received.

When: In the past 3 months is when it started. I have been able to backup to this same server using the same steps for almost a year before I received the error.

I have built a server that I have installed and configured Server 2012 R2 on and for just under a year, I have been backing up my Work PC at the house to a shared RAIDed drive on this server. About 3 months ago, it stopped successfully backing up and I started
receiving errors codes when the backup would not complete successfully. The same issue occurred when I tried to backup the Work PC to an external HDD I keep. I re-attempt backups about once every 4-5 days with the hopes that it will work because it was successful
once about a month ago. The errors that I have received in the past 3 months are as follows:

0x80070079: which said "semaphore time out period expired"

0x8078015B

0x8100002F

0x80070002

My Question: Has anybody had these same issues and has anyone been able to resolve the problem? If a Microsoft tech is reading this please contact me directly and help.

 

Using Backup and Restore from Windows 7 to backup a Windows 10 environment.

Performed the Clean Boot and ran the Data File backup which failed but with a different error: "Windows backup encountered an error when accessing the remote shared folder. An unexpected network error occurred - Error code 0x81000039 (previously got Error
code - 0x8100002F)".

Then I ran a System Image with the Clean Boot and it failed with the same Error code - 0x8078015B. I proceeded to un-map the network drive that the backup was writing to and reran the data file backup first with my set of data files, and then with my set
and another set' the backup. The backup with my set ran OK but the backup with two sets failed again. Also, the System Image reran with the Clean Boot and un-mapped drive and failed again too with the same Error code - 0x8078015B.

I thought I had a fix here with the un-mapping of the network drive, but it doesn't seem so What options remain to be tested to resolve this problem?

 

BIOS error codes

So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.
