    Windows blocking Steam and Epic games and websites.


    Windows has started Epic and Steam, as well as access to game webpages. I have already tried disabling Windows Defender. Everything seems OK, but the EPIC and STEAM launchers are prevented from accessing Internet.How do we fix this?

    Windows blocking Steam and Epic games and websites.

    Windows has started Epic and Steam, as well as access to game webpages. Even, Roblox, installed in my PC, does not start. It must have something to do with the latest update. Messages go from Invalid SSL to Invalid Certificate. I have already tried disabling
    Windows Defender and checking Windows Security certificates. Everything seems OK, but the EPIC and STEAM launchers are prevented from accessing Internet and Roblox closes down withou even starting. How do we fix this?

    1. We tried deactivating Windows Defender. It wasn't that.

    2. Uninstalled Norton. Same thing.

    3. Uninstalled Steam. Wasn't able to reinstall it due to blocked Web site.

    4. Allowed security level in Internet Options to High (Everything goes). Nope! Not that either.

    5. Tweaked with IP settings. Bingo! I had a manually set IP address. Turned it to automatic IP detection and everything went normal.

    The IP was in manual because weeks ago my PC would not connect to Internet. That was due to some kind of IP conflict that was solved by setting a fixed address. Now things seem to have reverted and automatic detection is fine again.

    So, the advise to anyone that has the same game site/launcher problem is, in addition to other possible solutions, to check the computer's IP address.

    If it's to do with the latest update, it could be because the update didn't install properly. There is no problem with

    any of my game clients, or other web sites since updating to v1090 a couple of days ago.

    - Are you able to launch a game from Steam in off line mode ?

    - Are you using the same internet location, or did the problem start when using a public connection ?
