    Hi there.

    My PC crashed yesterday afternoon. When it restarted, this message popped up;


    Recovery

    Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

    The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.


    File: \Boot\BCD

    Error code: 0xc000014c


    You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disk or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.


    Since then I've downloaded the media creation tool and created the install USB, plugged that into my PC, and followed all the instructions I can find to fix the problem, but nothing's working.


    bootrec /fixMbr completes succesfully.

    bootrec /fixboot access is denied

    bootrec /RebuildBcd Total identified Windows installations: 0


    bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup operation has failed. The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format.


    I can list volumes in diskpart, but can't identify which has the boot sectors.


    Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

    I've tried this but get, "the system cannot find the path specified", after inputting each CMD line.
