Windows 10: Windows Calculator bug with any number over 999

Hi,


A few weeks ago the Windows Calculator started acting weird.

Any number over three digits seems to cause a problem. Please see attached screenshot


For example if you enter 100 it will work fine, but if you enter 1000 it will revert to 1. So 1000+1000 will return 2 and 10,000-5,000 will return 5. Any ideas how to fix this?


I am using it in Standard mode, but Scientific mode has the same issue.

Calculator GUI Bug.

This issue has risen before but I'd like to make sure it reaches the phone 7 team.



Lets say I have the dark background set under themes.

I then go into calculator, it appears normal with the grey buttons according to the dark theme.



I then change the theme to the light background and go back into the calculator. The calculator buttons have adjusted and are now white acording to the light theme.

I then go back and change the theme to the dark background again and then go back into the calculator.



This time, the buttons are still white even though I've changed the theme to dark.

If I exit the calculator and re-launch it, the problem is fixed and the buttons are grey again.



This is a GUI bug that should be simple to fix. A minor bug and update would be required.

Window's 10 Calculator won't launch

Hi Dan,

There could be a number of factors as to why you are having issues launching the Calculator app on Windows 10. This could be caused by a software conflict or due to the application itself.

You may consider resetting the Calculator app. To do this, refer to the steps below:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & feature.
  
• Click the Calculator app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
  
• Click Reset.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you create a new user account. This is for us to check if the issue is due to a corrupted user profile. To do this, select the Start button, then select
Settings > Accounts > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC.

Bug in built in calculator program.

If you have a theme of light background, then use the calculator program, then change your theme to dark, the calculator retains the light settings, except for the text, which switches to the dark setting of useing white text.

You end up with white text on white background, making it hard to see the numbers.

Reseting the phone resets the calculator program.

Note: This bug may not show up if you have started calculator first with a dark background theme. Reseting the phone, change to a light theme, start calculator, change to a dark theme, and the bug shows up.
