Windows 10: Windows Camera App error code 0xA00F4244 - Possible Reason

Had this error and tried everything, including looking on these forums. The solution for me anyway, bizarrely clicked in whilst I was still looking for the solution. The problem was Norton Life Lock. Out of the blue a message came up saying Norton Life Lock allowed apps to accept my webcam and all was again fine. Ironically I I re subscribed to Norton a couple of days ago. So if anyone has this problem check Norton Life Lock as the cause. If it hadn't just come up on the screen I would have purchased a new webcam with no need. Why it took a couple of days to sort itself out I have no idea. Hope this possible solution helps someone.

Compatibility could be one of the probable reasons why you have this error. What I can suggest is for you try and run the hardware troubleshooter. You can follow the steps below:

• Click the magnifying glass icon beside the Windows start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Click Hardware and Devices from the options list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Windows Camera App error code 0xA00F4244

I am getting the following error code when trying to use the camera: Windows Camera App error code 0xA00F4244 Any idea how to fix this?

Error code 0xA00F4244 No Cameras Are Attached

Whenever I click on the Microsoft camera app I get a message saying that "We can't find your camera" and the error code: 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached> The "Get Help thing troubleshooted it, and reset it. Still didn't work. It also had me look under Device
Manager and under camera/ imaging devices and my camera was not listed. Not sure if the device manager one only works for USB cameras though. Then the "Get Help" said "I don't have any further troubleshooting steps for this right now." and listed a
few options for getting help which led me here.
