Windows 10: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for GamePanel.exe

I recently made a ticket for an issue i had with updating and one of the solution was as follows:


"Navigate to below folders and delete all the content of below folders This will remove all pending updates and will refresh the update cache, removing all update history and updates that are problematic on your computer

* C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\
* C:\Windows\System32\Catroot\
* C:\Windows\System32\Catroot2\"


This did not help and has actually caused more problems than it has fixed


because of this everytime i boot up a game that has xbox game bar support this pops up




Now for some games this makes absolutely no difference but for games like valorant it dosent even open and the person who i was in contact with who told me to delete the contents ran out of ideas and left so any support would be greatly appreciated

When does the Operating system verify the Authenticode Signatures for signed EXEs and signed DLLs?

When PE Files (exes, dlls etc.) are code signed using signtool, they can be verified to check if they have been authored by trusted publishers. In which scenarios does the Operating system actually verify signed EXEs and DLLs?

1. Are signatures of EXEs verified every time they are run?
2. If an EXE has a dynamically linked DLL, is the DLL's signature verified when the EXE is run?
   
3. If the EXE dynamically loads a DLL using LoadLibrary, is the DLL's signature verified when the EXE is run?
4. When an EXE requires elevated privilege (UAC), is the signature of the EXE and the DLL dependencies verified as well? (1-3)

W7, Winload.exe Can't verify digital Signature ...edit fixed

No the BCD is working, it's the "Windows Can't verify digital Signature Winload.exe "

 

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.

I reinstalled windows 7 while I had windows 10 in my laptop. Thus I lost access to windows 10. To bring the windows 10 back I used following commands in win recovery:

bootrec /fixMBR

bootrec /fixBoot

bootrec /rebuildBCD

It just add windows 10 pro to the windows selection menu. now when I select windows 10 pro to start up, I see following error:

winload.exe'

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.

please tell me how to fix this error.
