Windows 10: windows can't activate the previous version

just updated the windows today and it was erroring the previous version that can't be active but i bought this windows from the store back then when win7 was the lastest and i lost the box that i purchase, i can't find it since its been 9 years and i dont know where my mom put it or my dad, probably they throw it out since its already used. any tips for activation windows? please i need help

To guide you in right direction we want to know:

• Have you activated your Previous version of Windows?

Windows is not activated as your previous version of Windows, your device was not activated prior to upgrade to Windows 10

We suggest you to follow the below steps and check:

• Go to Start.
• Select Settings .
• Go to Update & security.
• Go Activation .
• Click Change product key.
• Enter your Windows 10, Windows 8 or Windows 7 and click Next
  to complete activation.

erase previous version of windows to create space

Perform the steps to delete previous version of windows :-

• 
  In the search box on the taskbar, type settings, then choose it from the list of results.
  
• 
  Select System > Storage > This PC and then scroll down the list and choose Temporary file
  
• Under Remove temporary files, select the Previous version of Windows check box and then choose Remove files.

Recently I have upgraded my windows 8.1 phone to windows 10 phone. But I am not comfortable with this version and wants to rollback to my previous version windows 8.1.

Please help me and suggest the steps.
