Windows 10: Windows Code Not Working

I’m new to the group and this is my first post, so I apologize if I’m breaking rules. Let me know and I’ll delete.

So, I built my first pc this week and I wanted to transfer the ssd from my old pc to this new one, which was probably a stupid idea, I just assumed it would work. Everything started up fine but the system was unable to boot windows, giving me an error saying that the os drive type needs to be a certain format, or something like that. The windows install screen gave me the option to try using a different windows code. I assume that windows just doesn’t allow you to use the code on more than 1 motherboard. So I bought one from Kinguin and typed it in and it didn’t work, but I don’t believe it was because the code was invalid, the ssd just wasn’t formatted properly, so it never got to the stage where It was installing anything. I didn’t really have any important data on it, so I just decided to get a new ssd. I tried using that kinguin code I bought the previous day on this new ssd, but it didn’t work because it said it was already used, which is weird because windows wasn’t actually installed. So I bought another kinguin code, and at this point I’ve spent over $100 more than I wanted to. This one seemed to have worked. Windows was installed and seemingly working fine. I leave my computer on sleep and come back later, and I have that little grey message in the corner saying that windows isn’t activated, and it doesn’t let me personalize windows10. I tried to activate it by re-typing the code that allowed me to install windows in the first place and it says it’s invalid/used. I regrettably didn’t get buyer protection from kinguin, because myself and my cousin have gotten legit codes from there on more than 1 occasion and the supplier had solid reviews. But I don’t think the validity is the issue here. Anyone have any recommendations about what I should do? I don’t want to get a 3rd windows code, and I definitely don’t want to get another ssd. And I’m not buying a legit windows code lol. I really don’t mind the grey text in the bottom corner, but after spending a lot building a pc, id really love the os to be fully functional. Thanks!

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
