Windows 10: Windows corrupted while formatting and now screen is flickering on and off

    Windows corrupted while formatting and now screen is flickering on and off


    I was resetting my laptop and the windows was taking a long time in installing so I shut the laptop down by holding the power button and restarted it thinking it'll stop the formatting and restore the laptop to how it was before the formatting. After that, whenever I switched the laptop on, I could see a blue screen with various options of how to go about it. I tried to reset it by choosing the options given on the screen but it showed that the laptop was unable to reset.

    Now, the screen is flickering on and off so I can't try to reset it through safe mode. What can I do?

    Screen flickering in Windows 10 safe mode

    I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

    Screen flickering can be caused by hardware or application issue.

    To better assist you, please answer the following questions:

    • Is the issue only happening in Safe Mode?
    • Have you made any changes on your device prior to the issue?
