Windows 10: Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into next phase of installation. To Install...

I’ve tried to install Windows 10 onto my iMac 2017 (using boot camp assistant) over 20X.

I was successful the first 3 times. But when I updated Windows 10 (inside the Windows 10 environment, or updated the Apple components from the Apple Software Update also inside Windows 10) I was caught in a boot loop all 3 times. So I erased the bootcamp partition (using boot camp assistant) and tried to install Windows 10 a forth time, but I had no success. I got this error:

“Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into next phase of installation. To Install windows, restart the installation” and “The installation was canceled. Any changes made won’t be saved.”

I held down the option key after Windows auto rebooted (to re-enter the Windows 10 installer). The installation started again. This time the error was different:


“Windows cannot locate the disk and partition specified in the unattend answer file's setting. Make sure the setting references a valid partition and restart the installation.”


The above error messages happen over and over and over (after each partition erase and consecutive install).


I called Apple twice. Each time they said that boot camp assistant worked as intended, and that it was a Microsoft Windows issue. I called Microsoft and was told: “We have no knowledge of Boot Camp Assistant, so call Apple.”

After one of the more successful install attempts, I made an image file of the boot camp partition using Winclone 7. I thought I could clone it back if anything went wrong. But on restore, Winclone 7 had an error of its own:


“Restore Error: Error Creating EFI File”


I don’t know what to do. Can someone please help?

Processor 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 32 GB

2T Fusion Drive

Windows 10 ISO downloaded from Microsoft

Boot Camp Assistant 6.10

(All other drives, the monitor, and peripherals were disconnected, except Bluetooth keyboard and usb mouse)

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Having some problem in my computer, i decided to clean start it again. I was using Windows 10 Professional before on my 64bits computer with 4GB RAM and now i thought that i should go for the Windows Education. Trying to install I came up with this error
when it reached the final stage saying ' Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase installation. To install Windows, restart the installation. ' i tried several times but the cycle goes on and since i saw another similar question one
the website, i decided to formal all my drives (except the system reserved one). Now, they're formatted already and I am still being hit up with the same message.
