Windows Crashes/Restarts when launching Fortnite after EVERY game update

This issue has been plaguing me this whole summer. After every Fortnite update, my computer crashes at launch of the game followed by crashes as soon as a game starts for the first few launches and then it stops until the next patch. I suspect the error is due to an invalid path at the OS level causing a kernel error; however, would love some guidance. Computer crashes after trying to launch Fortnite

Recently, my computer has been crashing and giving me a blue screen when I try to launch Fortnite.

I think the crash occurs because the game/my account cannot handle when I change what account I am trying to launch with. The only fix I have found that works EVERY TIME is to wait for the next patch to roll out and to NOT change accounts, even on the fortnite.com website. Another way I have found to fix this error is to get the blue screen, to open the launcher, and then to restart my computer multiple times manually, which, in turn, takes a lot of extra time and work.

The error returned when I try to launch Fortnite is a System-Thread-Exception-Not-Handled error and, in half-knowing what runs games, I know that a thread is what actually runs the game which helped me figure out the account glitch. Also, when I immediately close the Epic Games Launcher after getting this glitch, I get a different blue screen message that I can't recall right now.

    Computer Specs and Windows version

Also, Fortnite runs with the Easy Anti-Cheat software, which could be the source of the problem.

    EDIT:

I found the root of this problem: the file is too large to download into the C:/Program_Files folder, which causes it to run weirdly and crash. I don't know of any fix for this besides getting a larger SSD (as of right now it is a 128 GB SSD.

  3. My pc freezes and crashes while playing fortnite

As the tilte suggests i have been experiencing my pc freezing and crashing while i play fortnite (havent tested any other games). To begin with ive been experiencing fortnite crashing mid game for the past week. I updated drivers windows 10 and unistalled fortnite and installed it again. After the windows update i think that the problem expanded to my pc freezing and crashing. To save you some time i have Autoruns from a previous crashing issue

Fortnite Crashes My PC when launched.

Recently my PC has begun completely crashing when I start up the game. I've gotten the blue screen with the frowning face a couple times, but most of the time it just black screens and bugs out taking me to my login screen and closing/stopping all other programs on the computer.

My hardware is a Nvidia EVGA 2070 Super

    And a Ryzen 7 2700x

I've tried everything I can think of to resolve the issue.

    • Updated drivers for Graphics card.
    • Deleted and reinstalled the game multiple times
    • Verifed the game files
    • Run Epic games as administrator
    • Deleted and reinstalled Epic games launcher
    • Cleaned out driver caches
    • Moved the game to a different hard drive
    • Run command prompt for corrupted files
    • Used the windows + r command to run other scripts
    • Updated all my windows store apps
No other game on my PC has any issues and run exactly the same as before this began happening, its just Fortnite.

Any advice or suggestions would be fantastic as I am at a loss as to going about resolving this issue.

Ideally I'd like to avoid having to do a complete reinstallation of windows.
