  1. Windows Crashing (Windows 10) Gaming PC

    I have had no issues playing the Division 2 lately but the other day, the game crashed. I looked on event viewer and this had a warning symbol next to it:

    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

    {21B896BF-008D-4D01-A27B-26061B960DD7}

    and APPID

    {03E09F3B-DCE4-44FE-A9CF-82D050827E1C}

    to the user DJXGAMINGS-BATT\Djxgam1ng SID (S-1-5-21-1079759118-1069692885-4054857855-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    Here are the articles I have referenced when trying to solve the issue. It involves going into the registry and just changing permissions. However, it does involve specific steps. I have reinstalled the game. I am trying to solve this without reinstall.

    Basically, the game just keeps crashing. If this is outside the scope that anyone feels comfortable, let me know. I plan on sending the cpu away in the next day, so if I cant fix it here, that is ok. I dont want to beg or waste anyones time. Thanks

    Here are some additional things I have done:

    https://support.ubisoft.com/en-US/Article/000063998/Connectivity-issues-in-The-Division-2-on-PC/

    I could not find how to enable UpNp but I have played the game without enabling it. I opened the ports,flush the DNS, hardware reset....

    UPDATE: So I have found a workaround in that the game will work when running in DISPLAY CAPTURE. As I said prior, I have tried disabling firewall, I have ports open for the game and for Streamlabs on both the Router and Firewall, both inbound and outbound ports. I have tried just about every solution. My C Drive, which has Windows, does not have enough space for games. I do have Streamlabs stored on it, but not any game launchers or games. I used to be able to play without any issues, so I am thinking there was a game update or windows update. The interesting thing to note is people are having crashes (without a crash error popping up) when playing The Division 2 who currently don't stream:

    Update: Tried to

    Hopefully, we can solve this issue.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
