Windows 10: Windows-Ctrl-d shortcut

I saw a few questions on the Windows-Ctrl-d shortcut, with nonsatisfying answers. This shortcut creates a "virtual desktop." You get another instantiation of your desktop, but all your open programs and their taskbar icons have disappeared! And you can't get back to them with Alt-Tab. However, contrary to what one or two questioners assumed, the shortcut only APPEARS to close your open programs. Windows key + Ctrl + D - can I delete this shortcut?

I am a court reporter, and one of the main editing functions in my reporting software is Ctrl + D. However, a lot of times I accidentally press the Windows key + Ctrl + D since the Windows key and Ctrl are right next to each other on my keyboard. But when
this happens, it shuts my reporting software down. Then when I open it back up and go to the file I was working on, it gives me an error message saying it can't open the file in read-only mode or something similar to that. And the only way I can get back to
that file is to restart my computer.

I understand the keyboard shortcut (Windows key + Ctrl + D) is a new one for Windows 10. Is there any way to delete this shortcut?

• Have you assigned the “Ctrl + Shift” shortcut for any application?
  

Ideally, the shortcut Ctrl + Shift is used to switch the keyboard layout when multiple keyboard layouts are available. If you have assigned the shortcut for a keyboard layout, you may try changing it by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Devices and select
   Typing on the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and select Advanced keyboard settings.
   
4. Click on Input language hot keys.
   
5. Select the layout for which you have assigned the shortcut and click on
   Change Key Sequence.
   
6. Under Switch Keyboard Layout, select
   Not assigned.
   
7. Click on OK (Twice).

CTRL+D windows shortcut

hi,

Lately when I hit CTRL+D, no matter which program I'm currently using, it pops up the default web browser and starts playing a specific song on youtube.

I can't find any way to disable this function and as such can't use CTRL+D in any program.
