Windows CU update as HOST and Network adapter

    Hi folks

running VMWARE workstation as a HOST using latest Windows CU update I've lost adapter connectivity on VM's . Network adapter shows up as disconnected even though not disconnected.

Fix : Power off VM's reset the network adapter to the default via the VM menu on the Host and then re-power on the VM's --works fine again.

    Cheers
    jimbo

    :)

  2. Setting up a virtual router on my PV via windows 10 and a wireless USB adapter...

I'm trying to set up a virtual router feature on my windows 10 PC. I know hosted network capability is required and when i use an older DLINK wireless adapter i get a yes on hosted network capability. I just purchased a new dlink wireless adapter and
when i went to set it up, and check through command prompt, it indicates a no to hosted network capability. I updated the driver and so on. Is the hosted network feature a function of the adapter or windows 10? How do i fix?

no hosted network adapter in windows 10

Before the latest version updating, I can start hosted network by command. But now I can not . I find that there are 3 Microsoft Wi-fi Direct Virtual Adapters, but no hosted network adapter. So i can start a mobile hotspot by setting in "Windows setting->network
and internet-> mobile hotspot". I want to know why there is no hosted network anymore. I am appreciate for any help or reply.

PS: I have attempted to update my NIC driver , install outmoded devices in device manager, reboot my network adapter. All of them end with failure.
