    Windows Defender and Update problems


    Hello,


    Im facing some problems with my windows 10 Home - 1903,


    The Windows was preinstalled in my ASUS Notebook PC, I'm not sure if McAfee was preinstalled as well and if I uninstalled it or it's been uninstalled automatically in somehow. (there's a possibility that the person who bought me the laptop installed McAfee I can give u the right information soon if it's important)


    I tried to fix these problems in many ways but I failed.


    My last try was close to sucess, I followed all the steps to use File Checker Tool in this link : https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system


    I got "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" as a result and I could get the file where the corrupted files locations are mentioned as well (they are related to Window Defender) but unfortunately I dont have any of the source files to fix them manually, furthermore I'm having a lot of corrupted files, so it wont be that practical if I'll be obliged to fix them one by one.

    Windows 10 Anniversary Update Issues

    Problems with W10 Anniv auto update:

    Mom's: (x58 Xeon 5677) Windows Defender was not turned back on automatically (it was "on" in the 1511 edition) and she had a Trojan. Full system scan to eradicate.
    Her Epson printer was knocked off, had to uninstall by Device Manager pull USB cable and reconnect cable. W10 did the rest.

    Step-mom's: (HP pre built) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Her USB Seagate Expansion Drive 2Tb was offline so all backup routines were halted. Had to rerun backup plan. Had her do a full virus scan.

    Step-dad's: (Dell Optiplex tweaked upgrades) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Full Scan.
