Windows 10: Windows Defender bugging me about PUA that doesn't exist

I recently downloaded some files I made from OneDrive for Computer Science Homework, and Windows Defender was telling me some were trojans and PUAs, even though I'm sure they aren't. I was able to solve most of my problems, I had to make exceptions for a folder I have in OneDrive and for the OneDriveTemp folder





However, one problem hasn't gone away. Windows defender keeps telling me that it's found a PUA in the OneDriveTemp folder. When I look into the folder, the file it's mentioning isn't there. I've enabled "Show Hidden Items" and looked using WinDirStat and the Command Prompt. It simply doesn't seem to be there








I can fix it by just simply making the mystery file allowed on my device, but I'm afraid that might come back to haunt me. Is there any way I can get rid of that message for good, or is it ok to have this exception?

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Windows Defender PUA feature?

I disagree. Enabling PUA protection in Defender will scan anything save to your Downloads folder for PUAs, adware and unwanted browser extensions (things like the Ask Toolbar) stuff you often find bundled within the install packages from some of the sites offering popular software. It's similar to the sort of protection afforded by Malwarebytes Premium (the paid-for one) - real-time protection against PUPs.

While Microsoft aim PUA protection firmly at the Enterprise environment (and provide Enterprise tools to manage it) it can be enabled on anything, right down to my 10 Home. There's a Tutorial on this....
