Windows 10: Windows Defender / MRT crashes during full scan

Windows 11 x64 Pro 23H2 22631.3810AMD Ryzen 5 3600 32 GB RAM i recently purchase new add on of ram, my ram was 3600mhz down to 4x 3200mhz nowSamsung NvMe 400gbNvidia Geforce GTX 1660 SuperWhen I try to run a quick scan, it doesn't work. When I try to run a full scan, it fails after a couple of minutes. I get a BSOD. I also recently update to Windows 24H2Some apps are not opening. Some bsod

Windows defender crash during scan

Windows defender keeps crashing every time I do a scan it will get about 60,000+ and then crash Malewarebytes doesn't find anything,(I even uninstalled malewarebytes still crash) everything is up to date, I have no Java. I don't go to any possible bad websites. this started after I was cleaning out some old stuff in my temps folder, but I only got rid of folder that said they where empty.

anyone know what this could be? *Bang Head :banghead:

If I wait about 1 min. after the crash it goes back to normal

 

Windows Defender / MRT crashes during full scan

To re-iterate, I did another Windows Update System Repair yesterday to 23H2 Repair version and the Full Scan worked on both Defender and MRT **UNTIL** I ran Windows Update again and it installed another KB quality update. I will have to repeat the repair today to get the exact KB number, but I believe that KB is the root cause. Is there a way to uninstall or block a KB?

Also, when I do another Windows Updated System Repair today, I will test some other apps. Now that I am thinking about it, those apps ALL worked flawlessly until that KB was released. I just made that correlation today.

SonarQube no longer works on my PC directly and have to run in Ubuntu WSL

When I repair to 23H2 (BEFORE) that KB, I know that fixes Full Scan and MRT, but not sure about the other apps above. I will need to test.
