    Windows Defender offline scan fails


    I recently decided to do an offline windows defender scan. The scan restarted my computer and ran to about 90% completion then stopped. I am left with a blank blue screen with just the cursor and my mouse and keyboard inputs are disabled. I waited for a good 15 minutes but nothing changed. I force shut down the laptop and attempted the scan again with the same results.
