    Windows Defender problems after W10 v2004 update


    widows defender block my BitTorrent client after the updated 2004 on windows 10 pro 64 bit and claims its a virus name PUA:Win32/Presenoker

    potentially unwanted application i dont know if it is false positive i scan it with bitdefender anti virus and it was clean

    i use bittorrent client for years on windows 10 without problem and not even one virus everthing went wrong after 2004 update how to solve this ?do i need to disable windows defender and instal third party antivirus like bitdefender or kaspersky ? PUA:Win32/Presenoker potentially unwanted application is a trojan or false positive ?

    Windows 10 Anniversary Update Issues

    Problems with W10 Anniv auto update:

    Mom's: (x58 Xeon 5677) Windows Defender was not turned back on automatically (it was "on" in the 1511 edition) and she had a Trojan. Full system scan to eradicate.
    Her Epson printer was knocked off, had to uninstall by Device Manager pull USB cable and reconnect cable. W10 did the rest.

    Step-mom's: (HP pre built) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Her USB Seagate Expansion Drive 2Tb was offline so all backup routines were halted. Had to rerun backup plan. Had her do a full virus scan.

    Step-dad's: (Dell Optiplex tweaked upgrades) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Full Scan.

    WSUS updates and defender definition updates problem with W10 LTBS 1607

    Hello,

    Environment

    A number of windows 10 PRO are running and WSUS properly provides updates for them.

    Recently a number of Dell 5070 WES clients with preinstalled W10 IOT (current version is W10 LTBS 1607 Enterprise edition) have been deployed.

    Settings for WSUS

    In products list:

    In addition to other W10 editions selected W10, W10 LTBS and a number of other versions. I also selected Windows Defender.

    In classification:

    Selected Critical Updates, Definition Updates, Security Updates, Service Packs, Updates Rollups, Upgrades.

    Definitions updates are set to be automatically approved.

    W10 LTBS updates and definitions

    WSUS recognizes Wyse 5070 devices as Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTBS but It does not show any current failed/needed updates for these devices Defender defenitions updates are not being deployed.

    Online updates with Microsoft does work: patches/updates can be downloaded and installed and defender definitions are applied automatically.
