Windows 10: windows defender

my pc was attacked by trojan occamy . c which i trying to remove by Kaspersky virus removal tool its not going . I think trojan has done some damage I cant open windows defender protection history option when I click it it opens temporarily and showing nothing and my mouse cursor shows some program is running and it closes the protection history option, I ran Microsoft security tool still its not working. i wrote this because windows defender is not able to identify threat even if it idenrifies some process takes place and it shows i am protected . problem started after that trojan entered i don't know how it got installed

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

Windows update and windows defender issues

We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
  
• Click Settings.
  
• Turn Real-time protection on.

We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.
