Windows 10: windows defender

hello guys


i faced a weird problem its my first time seeing it i was going on normally with my computer when i saw a small X on my windows defender icon in the start bar down i pressed on it and it said there is a virus or action needed i tried pressing on take action or like remove this virus or what ever program that its facing and on the action menu it just gave the the option to allow it and am not dumb enough to do that so i just clicked away and then tried to go to the scan in the windows defender and i tried quick scan but nothing happens like it wont scan or anything i tried full scan still the same thing


it felt like the virus it self is preventing the windows defender from removing it or scanning for it anyways i scrolled a bit down i found something called offline scan and in the description it said for persistent viruses and it would have to restart and would take about 15 min


I decided to go with this option not knowing what will happen because it was the first time I ever did this offline scan anyways I clicked on it and it did what it did and it toke less than 5 min I think because my computer is basically new and I don't have much on it that would make it slow so after it restarted everything was normal but I noticed that my windows defender icon disappeared from the task bar down I thought it just didn't start up normally when I restarted my pc so I clicked on the start menu and clicked on my windows defender and its all black screen nothing there


I went here to read on how to fix it and tried several methods using cmd and using regedit or something and nothing worked

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

Let us know the result.

Installing Apps on Windows 10 Has Windows Defender Finding Malware

  Is this issue specific to third party apps?
  

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

• 
  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion
