Windows 10: Windows denfender anti virus scan saying no new threats were found

Discus and support Windows denfender anti virus scan saying no new threats were found in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; so today i scanned my pc and windows defender said no new threats were founddoes this mean i have a virus and windows removed it previously or does it...     Windows denfender anti virus scan saying no new threats were found


    so today i scanned my pc and windows defender said no new threats were founddoes this mean i have a virus and windows removed it previously or does it just say thatcause i scan my pc once every 3 days and ive never had a virus and i never do any sketchy things like go on unsafe websites or download anything and i checked protection history and it says there is nothing in protection history

    How to scan anti-virus with windows Defender?

    For windows 10, I would like to know on how to scan anti-virus with windows Defender, when I select a file and right click, there is no anti-virus for scanning for windows defender and how to make windows defender update automatically?

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Virus and Threat Protection Issue

    When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?

    definition update for windows denfender antivirus

    Hi mknic,
    I have literally just installed the definition update KB2267602 without any problem. I suggest as a first step checking all the Windows Defender settings to make sure they all have the 'green ticks' in each section.

    ps. The only reason the 'Family Options' is not ticked is because I am the only user on my computer.

    I also would suggest running the 'Troubleshoot' feature in the Update & Security settings which has a section dealing with update problems.
