  1. Windows desktop screen goes black after a few seconds of logging in

I tried step 4 as listed *.*c:\windows\system32\config. I hit enter, and got this result: The filename, directory or volume label syntax is incorrect. I tried without asterisks and got this: '.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Did it again with a space between *.* and c:\windows\system32\config and ended up with this result: '*.*' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Please find a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.
    1) Find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB).
    2) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso:
    Download Windows 10
    3) Find another flash drive so that you can save files > move the flash drive to another computer > post files into the thread

    4) In safe mode run the beta log collector and post a zip into this thread:
    log collector v2-beta08.zip
    (extract > open)

    5) Are you able to open safe mode and then device manager?
How to Access Device Manager From the Command Prompt

    6) Expand display adapters
    7) Right click on the GPU device > left click uninstall the driver
    8) reboot

    9) Which antivirus software are installed on the computer (always on and manual)

Okay, please restart and see if windows will run now. This is caused by earlier update so we need to be able to run Windows updates if you can get into Windows. If not go to elevated command prompt and copy and paste the following command to run Windows update from command line.

    wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Let's save this for a last resort.

I obviously have to type this all out as I previously stated I’m doing this all from an iPad.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>dism /image:c\ /get-packages

    Error: 2

    Unable to access the image.
Make sure the image path and the windows directory for the image exist and you have Read permissions on the folder.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

    C:\WINDOWS\system32> dism /image:c\ /get-packages

    Error: 87

The /Image option that is specified points to a running Windows installation.
To service the running operating system, use the /Online option. For more information, refer to the help by running DISM.exe /Online /?.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

  14. Are you ready to try the Reset or Reinstall or do you want to continue trying to repair? Are you accessing remotely from a iPad?
