Windows 10: windows does not recognize my Sony digital camera

I've had the camera for a while and downloaded pictures recently, but now when I tried to download it does not recognize that the camera is attached the computer. The photo transfer does not being automatically as it usually does, and when I start the Photo Gallery and select the option to import pictures from my camera, there is no camera on the list, even when the camera is on and plugged in.


I have tried all of the suggestions in the support community but nothing works. also when I locate the device in the control panel and click on properties it freezes up.

I have the same problem: built-in camera does not work.

On the site of Sony i found the following information: Sony does not currently plan to provide Windows 10 dedicated drivers for your VAIO computer.

So what should I do? I cannot return to win7, but win10 does not recognize my camera. Who is responsible for these kind of problems?

sony vaio built in camera is not recognized by win10. I have to update it manually almost every day and it works only a few times. I did not have this problem with win7.

Window 10 will not recognize files on camera digital disk

When connected by USB both my digital cameras (Nikon D7000 and Fuji T1) are recognized as are the disk, but files are not recognized. One day ago this function works well with Windows 8.1, so I believe it is a Windows 10 problem.
