Windows 10: Windows Explorer, File system and search not working

Several hours ago I picked my laptop from tech service (idk if this makes sense in English). I added 8 GB of RAM (making it 12) and a SSD, which replaced my HDD slot and my DVD was removed in order to have both. Booted the PC and it was fine, the tech just installed the SSD. I came back home and booted the laptop and whenever I try to open Windows Explorer, a second after that my screen goes grey and then everything is back to normal, but nothing opens. Tried several solutions in internet, but none has worked for now. I can't open the Control Panel and as well, I am unable to search when I tap the Windows key on the KB. I can't even download files... Every time I try to download something - Chrome closes and the file hasn't started downloading. Checked if there is something with the ransomware, but everything is okay there. And when I try to play CS, I can't, because VAC seems to be disabled, meaning that I can't play in protected servers...

Intel Core i5 8250U
12GB DDR4 2400MhZ (By default, it had 8 [4x2, and one is non removable])
1 TB HDD
240 GB SSD Kingston

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 File Explorer search tool not working

I have tried all the above steps but I am unable to find and search a file with email address as search key.
