    Windows Explorer freezes when right-click on folder or shortcut


    Hello!

    Sorry if this has been asked before please point to appropriate thread. I have recently upgraded Windows 10 Pro 64-bit from v1809 to v1903, although I think my problem has nothing to do with the upgrade which was completed successfully. I noticed that when I right-click on a folder (to see its properties) or on a shortcut (in order to run as Administrator) Windows Explorer freezes. Trying to restart the process from Task Manager doesn't work, it terminates but doesn't start again. The only workaround is to end the task from Details tab in Task Manager and the run Explorer again. The issue doesn't happen in Safe Mode. I also tried to run CCleaner and fixed all registry issues without any success, the issue persists. I also disabled two suspicious Services named MzhhZWYz and NjIzZDMwNzc, nothing changed. What report do you need to figure out what is the culprit? How I do that report?

    PS: I have already searched for spywares with Superantispyware and removed them all.

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

    • Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
    • Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
    • Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
    • Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.Windows Explorer freezes when right-click on folder or shortcut :)

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
