Windows 10: Windows Explorer Issue

I’m running Windows 10 64 Bit and for awhile now Windows Explorer will hang quite frequently where I have to open Task Manager and restart it. What happens is say I’ll right-click on a folder to rename or copy and it will hang or where my icons will just turn blank. I’ll have to restart Explorer to get it back to normal. It may work right for awhile but will eventually revert back to hanging. I just ran a chkdsk C: /f command prompt to correct any errors but don’t think it found any.

I’ve read Windows 10 has a Reset process where it does a Clean Install but will leave your files and folders in tact. Do you think at I’m at the point where it may require a reset.

Will doing a Reset present create any issues since I originally upgraded from Windows 7? This is a computer I had built for me a few years ago.

Windows Explorer Replacement?

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue
